TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The House of Representatives or DPR is holding a plenary session for the fifth session of 2023-2024 today, Tuesday, July 9. Based on the invitation letter for the DPR plenary session issued by the DPR Secretariat General, the session was scheduled to start at 09:30 at the Nusantara II Building, DPR Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta.
One of the agenda of the plenary session was to determine and form the membership of a Special Monitoring Committee for Hajj 2024. The plenary session started the discussion by listening to the statements of the proponent of the right of inquiry regarding the supervision of Hajj.
The session will then listen to the opinions of the factions on the proposal for the right of investigation, followed by determining the formation and membership of the Special Committee for Investigating the Supervision of Hajj and ending with a decision.
The issues that were discussed outside the Hajj Special Committee included, among others, the Level II discussion or decision on the draft law to amend Law No. 5 of 1990 on the preservation of living natural resources and ecosystems. There is also a level II discussion or decision on 26 draft laws (RUU) regarding districts/cities.
The plenary session did not begin until 10:20 a.m. However, the registration for trial participants was opened outside the meeting room, and a number of political party officials also visited the courtroom, but the DPR leaders were not seen in the meeting room.
